MALE VOICE: The American Society for Bariatric Surgery recommends that only surgeons with a good deal and large volume of experience in bariatric surgery undertake revisions. We meet their criteria and we perform revisions for patients who need them. Revisions come in different forms, occasionally it’s a band that has become mal-positioned or maybe it’s a band that is broken and needs to be replaced. Sometimes the patient has had a prior bariatric surgery procedure that needs to be converted to a different one. Sometimes we need to perform these operations to help a person achieve their healthy weight lost goals and sometimes we need to achieve them to rectify side effects of a prior surgery.
