MALE VOICE: Our post-operative care encloses long checks insuring that everything is fine with the—with the wounds and we also talk to the patient in detail to see exactly how they’re doing and how they’re adjusting to their new eating and if they’re having pain.
FEMALE VOICE: It’s not just a surgery and like a gallbladder and you go home and start living just like you use to. There’s a lot of behavior modification that has to occur, specially within that first one year to 18 months wind out.
MALE VOICE: This is a big chance for most patients, you know, being able to eat a whole plate of food, going down to eating just a small plate of food.
FEMALE VOICE: The surgeons will always say they gave you—they gave you a tool, but they didn’t give you a cure and they operate on your stomach but not on your head. So we have about a year to 18 months to get that head all changed. The way they talk to each other inside to changing the way they think about food, emotional eating. They need to direct all of that differently now.
