DR. KRAHN: I’ve been a bariatric surgery specialist for six years now. In 2001 I took a formal bariatric surgery fellowship in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at US Bariatric. We operated approximately 700 cases. So I was really saturated with seeing a large number of patients. That was my initial experience in bariatric surgery. I’ve been a bariatric surgery specialist ever since. I’ve a medical degree, an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis. General Surgery Certificate from - - University and I’m a - - American College of Surgeons. Member of the American Medical Association and the American Society for Bariatric Surgery and other surgical societies as well.
I had recently - - faculty appointment at - - University Medical Center. In the years that I’ve been practicing I performed over 1,000 bariatric surgeries. At current we perform greater than 95% of our procedures with labrascopy [phonetic].
MALE VOICE: We show lower than national average on complication rates. We over - - ever - - that we create. We believe by doing that it gives the patient double security against bleeding and leaks. Our bleeding and leak rate are well below the national average.
DR. KRANH: We show a better than national average success rate in terms of weight lose.
